		<description>The nalexone in Suboxone is not metabolized when used sublingually.  It does NOT stop &quot;addiction&quot;, even if it were metabolized.... and is only added to the buprenorphine to deter IV use because it can cause withdrawal in some users who try IV.

Suboxone treatment is a wonderful addition to our medication &quot;arsenal&quot; against opiate addiction...however it is not a replacement for methadone treatment.  As long as there is no cure for opiate addiction, there will be use for methadone.</description>
